Welcome to the new website!
A big thanks to Jon Litton Design Co. for the pro
bono help. FYI -- Jon is my husband and did most of this
web work at midnight in bed in his jammies. Now that's
Wednesday, April 4, 6:30 p.m. -- A roundtable meet, greet, and weep. I would love to get together with some fellow hydrangea fanatics to talk about what hydrangeas did well in the garden last year (that's where the weeping comes in), what fertilizers your swear by, what new varieties are out this year, etc. If enough folks are interested, maybe we could take this meeting to Bread Co. next door. More to come...
Wednesday, May 9, 6:30 p.m. -- Propagation and cuttings swap. We did a little of this last fall, but spring is really the best time to root cuttings. If you're interested in participating, send me an email and let me know what cuttings you can bring, and if there's any hydrangea in particular you're dying to get. It's a win-win!
*NEW DATE* Sunday, June 24, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- The Second Annual St. Louis Hydrangea Tour, or as I think of it, "The Christmas in June Tour." We had a fantastic tour year one, then last year I was unable to organize it, so let's make it happen again this year! My garden is available, and I've heard from a few other people that they'd be willing to open their hydrangea garden doors to us. I'd love to have a few more stops on the tour -- please contact me if you want to join in -- and don't worry about weeds, etc. -- we're all in this for the hydrangeas!
We'll meet at my house for some carpooling and to map out our route for the day: 542 Edgar Ct., Webster Groves, MO 63119.
Saturday, June 9 -- I'm TRAVELIN' to Atlanta for the American Hydrangea Society's annual tour. I'll be driving and any and all are welcome to join me in my minivan -- as long as you don't mind stoppping at a nursery or two along the way.
Wednesday, July 18, 6:30 p.m. -- Hydrangea companion plantings. CANCELED DUE TO RIDICULOUS HEAT <gasp gasp> Let's' get together to share some of our favorite hydrangea and perennial/annual combos. Here's a container I did for a client that turned out especially nice (if I do say so myself).
I welcome ALL suggestions for meeting ideas. Just drop me an email at email@example.com.
